Chemia documentation

This is the documentation for Chemia Discovery. It currently covers the Chemia materials MCP connector, which lets an AI assistant search and read our materials data. Every page states the date and server release it describes, and has a Markdown copy for agents.

What can I read here?

  • Overview: what the connector is, what it is not, and the limits that matter most.
  • Connection guide: the server address, the sign-in, and the clients we have tested.
  • Access, grants and limits: who can use the connector, which grants unlock which tools, and every limit.
  • Tool reference: every tool in the connector, with full pages for 8 of them.
  • Examples: worked examples, published once each has been run and checked.
  • Reading results: the notes that say what a field means, where it misleads, and what we do not hold.
  • Troubleshooting: sign-in problems, a tool you cannot see, and the daily limit.
  • Frequently asked questions: short answers, each with its source.

Where should I start?

To use the connector, read the Connection guide and then Access, grants and limits. To judge it before you ask for access, read the Overview and the Tool reference. If a result looks wrong, read Reading results first.

How current are these pages?

The numbers on these pages come from a snapshot of the server's tool list, grants, charges and limits. The snapshot was taken on 2026-10-04 and describes server release 1.5.0.

It is committed with this website and locked by hash, so it changes only through a reviewed change. Each page states its date. When the server changes, we regenerate the snapshot and the pages with it.

Is there a machine-readable copy?

Yes. Every page has a Markdown copy at the same address with index.md added, and the tool reference is also published as JSON.
